Here on the East Coast in Pennsylvania, we've been hit with two winter storms.
~
We were driving home after a hockey game when the first snow storm began.
My nieces and nephew came to watch their cousin, Brandon play hockey.
After arriving home, it kept snowing and snowing.
The second storm came in two parts: once late a night, letting up for rush hour, and then starting again around 11:30am. It snowed the rest of the day.
Schools were closed one day and an 2 hour delay on another.
The second storm also brought a cold rain. Everything turned into ice.
Looks like we aren't going anywhere for awhile.
It looks so pretty. It is this time of year when I miss having a White Christmas. It could be next year when I'm in Pittsburgh enjoying some snow!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour world is beautiful! We are heading north for Christmas, but only as far as NC. I'm bringing a sweater.
ReplyDeleteyour world looks like my world!! the kids tried to go sledding, but is was ice on snow......was like that scene from Christmas Vacation where Clark Griswald goes flying down the hill on teh saucer! haha. Stay safe and warm though....I hear lots of homes are losing power.
ReplyDeleteLooks like hot chocolate and fireplace time! Stay safe and happy holidays.

A friend of mine on the East Coast posted some pics of freezing rain on the trees. While it is beautiful, it can be dangerous for driving and can put out the power. We've been getting some light snow almost every day now. Just enough to cover our freshly shoveled paths and driveway! At least it's a light, fluffy snow -- easy to shovel. Merry Christmas! Stay safe in the bad weather!
ReplyDeleteWe had the freezing rain. Not fun to drive in. Yesterday our temperatures went to an usual high of 69. All the snow is now melted. Crazy weather!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Dawn.
Yes indeed!!! Merry Christmas to you too!
ReplyDeleteChristmas Vacation is my husband's favorite movie.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky and haven't lost any power. In fact, the snow has already melted. The weather here is crazy!
Thank Jeanne. NC is much warmer than PA. Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeletePittsburgh is more likely to have snow than my area. Pittsburgh is closer to the mountain regions. Maybe you will see snow!! xo
ReplyDeleteSo far our snow has not been too bad. However our daughter has taken a fall on our slippery driveway already. She's ok. The cars slipping and sliding can be nerve racking. Enjoyed the pictures but I have heard of a complaint that too many pictures of snow covered patio furniture are being shared these days. I guess it's a new trend.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
Holy snow, batman!
ReplyDeleteHave I told you that I've never even SEEN real snow? Just the flurries we get every ten years or so here that melt before they hit the ground and last maybe 10 minutes....
Stay warm! Merry Christmas!
Looks pretty! We went from 2 feet of snow to three days of 40 degrees and raining non stop to flooding and seeing green grass to waking up this morning to snow again! Crazy Mother Nature! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI would mail you snow if I could. =). I hope you are feeling better. Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your daughter is okay!
ReplyDeleteWe usually have our patio furniture stores inside for the winter. Guess we were lazy this year.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Mother Nature has been crazy! Our snow lasted about a week. The temps got so high all of it has melted away. We are expected to get snow tomorrow. Perhaps we will see a White Chistmas after all. Merry Christmas Friend!!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is amazing to me. Stay warm and safe please.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could hibernate like a bear in the winter. =)
