This week I've been planting new flowers around our patio.
My favorite flowers are Star Gazer Lily's and Cone Flowers.
The Star Gazers were our wedding flowers (they haven't bloomed yet).

I also like any other flower that is purple.
While trying to plant some new flowers I ran into a problem.
The roots from our birch tree was in the way of where I wanted the flowers to go.
So I asked my doggies to help!
For that extra garden help call Ellie and Teddy Excavators!
Sample of finished work.
Head over the Mrs 4s at Half-past kissin' time to see how everyone's else's week was!
You have been busy!! I saw the painted room & it looks great!! Also the carpet. You will be inspired while scrapbooking in that inviting space!
ReplyDeleteNow the garden is also coming along-- looking wonderful!!!
xoxo
Wow looks awesome...love the purple flowers....our neighbors just planted those around their mailbox....I'm might copy! Hope you have a wonderful long weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteI've been busy planting around here this week too. Your doggies are too cute! And so well-trained. Mine wiener dogs would look at me like I'd lost my mind if I encouraged them to dig since I'm always fussing at them for it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Beautiful garden! Those little yellow (?) flowers around the hostas are gorgeous ... what are they?
ReplyDeleteEtain violets.
DeleteThe flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love how you got the dogs to dig for you! hahaha I was laughing the entire time!
Your hilarious!
The pups are wonderful laborers!! I initially saw your post on my iPad. For some reason it did not "show" the video! Glad I did not miss it.. Precious!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd like it!
DeleteVery nice! I can't wait to have a yard so that I can plant some flowers. I'm with you - there's no such thing as a bad purple flower!
ReplyDeleteI love planting flowers. I find it very relaxing. Especially when the work is done and you have a beautiful flower garden to look at and enjoy.
Deletegreat idea putting the dogs to work and they probably enjoyed it. Now what will you say to them if they come back after the flowers are blooming and do more "work"? No surprise that you like purple flowers now that your blog is purplexing.
ReplyDeletehmmm, didn't quite think that one thru….
DeleteWhen a person has a black thumb, like me, and touching a plant is to commit botanical homicide, one just has to enjoy the flower gardens of others.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to enjoy my flower garden. Just don't touch anything!
DeleteGardening is very relaxing and there is something soothing about it. Plus it is always fun to get a little dirty.
ReplyDeleteThe nail salon techs wince when I come in because they know I love to garden (without gloves). LOL
