Saturday was a beautiful day. We wanted to cook on the grill, but over the winter we had a very bad wind storm and our grill blew off our deck and down the steps! Yes this really happened! So, we went out shopping for a new grill and found a great deal. This one was discounted down to $325 because it has a bent piece around the wheel cover. It is an awesome grill and I could care less if there is a dent in it! So we brought it home proud of our new purchase.
Todd wanted a card rematch since the girls were up 3 games to 1. The Feltenbergers came over and we grilled steaks and corn. I also made baked potatoes, broccoli and bread. The night was starting out so good....
I lit a fire in the pit to enhance the mood! I love the smell of a fire.
Todd and Chad went to check on the steaks and the grill had melted our siding! The guys didn't pull the grill out far enough. Apparently our new grill gets MUCH hotter than our old one!
And to top it off ~ poor Todd ~ the girls won at cards AGAIN! WAHOO!

I love the summer time and grilling out. Looks like a really nice grill. That is to bad about the melting of the siding. I guess your very lucky that it did not burn more of the house. Looks like a good dinner though. WOW, the girls are on a roll, keep it up girls!
ReplyDeleteha! too funny, well, not so funny...but a nice looking grill! we need a new one too, and we have some melted siding too!....oh well, hope the steaks were good!
ReplyDeleteOH NO!! (the siding)
ReplyDeleteOH YES!! (Girls rule) (again)
xoxo
Love the grill, what a deal! The siding added to the cost though:)
ReplyDeleteAt least the girls won and you had a great grilled meal!
Your dog is so perfect looking that picture almost looks fake!
I told Todd your comment about adding the price of new siding. He got a kick out of that! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh! Trust me, Ellie is REAL! haha!
xoxo
Yeah Girls! Boo burnt siding! Yeah new Grill...and on sale! Yeah girls are winners again! Sorry Todd! Yeah New Grill! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThe same thing with the siding happened to my neighbors! At least its at the back of the house right? And you can sort of hide it with the grill (when you're not using it!)
ReplyDeleteI'd love a nice barbecue like that (grill), I still prefer steak cooked on the gas range upstairs as it's hotter than our cheap BBQ. Can Todd fix the melted siding, or is it permanently damaged? Dh had ours too close to the house too, and the panels soaked up oil spatters!! Well done on the cards, you have some serious Girl Power going on.....
