While I was waiting for Brandon and Zachary's lacrosse practice to be over, Ellie waited patiently in the van. I was outside of the van talking to another parent.
Everyone knows Grover from Sesame Street, right? He is my favorite character and I had a small stuffed version of him on my dash board. When I opened the van to check on my beloved dog, I had found she decided to play with Grover. Grover was in between Ellies paws, stuffing hanging from her mouth. Grover had a hole where one eye used to be. "Oh No!" I shouted at Ellie, who looked up at me with beautiful brown eyes. If she could talk she would be saying "But I was just playing Mommy."
Grover now sports a fancy eye patch made out of a candy wrapper and rubber band.
So cute it made me chuckle!! :D
ReplyDeleteToo funny! We have many eyeless stuffed animals in our house.
ReplyDeletei commonly have to perform surgery on the stuffed animals! have done a lot of suturing of lacerations, amputations....nice work on the eye patch! :)
